Lexington, Ky. (April 16, 2015) – The 2015 Best Places to Work in Kentucky list ranks NetGain Technologies sixth among small companies in the Commonwealth, as evaluated by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM). The assessment process includes an employee engagement and satisfaction survey (this component is weighted at 75% during the evaluation) and an employer benefits and policies questionnaire that captures information about company policies, practices, and demographics (weighted at 25%). Of about 150 companies whose credentials were considered in the small business category, only 28 received the honor in 2015.
Rob Wildman, Executive Vice President—Operations, spearheaded NetGain Technologies’ involvement in the Best Places to Work program. “During our 30th anniversary celebrations last year, our employees told me again and again how much they love working for NetGain. I wanted to let the world know what a great place this is.” Wildman also notes that NetGain Technologies appeared earlier in 2015 on the MSPmentor 501 Global Edition, a distinguished list and report identifying the world’s leading managed services providers. NetGain Technologies has achieved a Top-100 ranking for seven consecutive years. “The Best Places award is a great recognition of how NetGain Technologies is viewed by the communities we serve. MSPmentor Top 100 is another recent achievement—it feels like it’s all happening fast but it’s been 30 years in the making.”
Mark Jacobson, CEO of NetGain Technologies, attended the April 14 awards presentation ceremony. “Best Places to Work in Kentucky put on a great program in Heritage Hall. Twelve hundred people were there, with 90 companies being recognized. We were one of 28 nominated in the small business category. It was really quite an exciting night and I told Rob Wildman that it’s something we need to aspire to every year. We should be very humbled.”
The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, along with KYSHRM, partnered with Best Companies Group to recognize local companies that have a positive impact on the state. Dave Adkisson, Kentucky Chamber’s President and CEO, sees the impact of great employers on the economic health of the Commonwealth. “In order to make Kentucky’s economy thrive, we must be able not only to educate and employ Kentuckians here, but we also must entice those from out of state to work here. The Best Places program does just that.”
Best Places considered the total count of NetGain Technologies’ employees in six states throughout the region to determine the company’s size category for the evaluation. Staff at the Lexington headquarters and Louisville branch office participated in the employee survey. Jacobson accepted the Best Places award on behalf of NetGain Technologies nearly 150 staff members. “We value our employees. This recognition means a lot to them. Great people make great companies,” Jacobson said.
